I met Nicole and Josh via a referral from another photographer. I was on my way to visit Virginia Beach with my husband and a friend from Germany and just managed to schedule a client meeting with this lovely couple. It’s even more amazing since they’re also not local to Virginia Beach! We met at a local Panera and immediately, we clicked. It doesn’t make when you find out you share a mutual love for animals….specifically dogs!
Nicole and Josh have a passion for puppies just like me! They have two sweet pups – kindred souls I tell ya! They raise bees – yep, they’re beekeepers! In general, they’re patient, kind, and understanding people.
Nicole and Josh were married on Saturday, October 17. It was a gorgeous day for a wedding! Cool enough to need to snuggle up to her new husband, but warm enough for Nicole to be stunning in a gorgeous dress. Instead of flowers, Nicole made her own bouquets – complete with shells and fresh lavender! They smelled amazing!! This backyard beach wedding was so much fun and I’m so honored to have been a part of it!
Congratulations to Nicole and Josh! Warm wishes for a long and blessed marriage!

I am so honored and lucky that wedding season has me working regularly with two fabulous photographers. If you’ve been keeping up, you know this is my 2nd wedding with the sweet and fun Kristine of Kristine Pringle Photography.
This time, I had the pleasure of working with her at Celebrations on the Reservoir – Pool Pavilion. This venue is incredible – they have many different event sites so more than one event can be taking place at the same time and you’d never know. The Pool Pavilion is an older house that has been converted to host events and yes, it really does have a pool!
This wedding was gorgeous! There was a candy bar, pasta bar, AND an ice cream bar! Hello yummy goodness! The bride chose blue and purple. They were amazing when combined – especially her bouquet! Stunningly gorgeous!
The ceremony was on the dock overlooking the reservoir while the dancing took place pool side! If you’re looking for a venue that has water, more water, and character, then the Pool Pavilion is worth a look around
It was so awesome working with Kristine again! She really is a bright light and someone I’m so glad I’ve been able to work with! Enjoy my favorite photos from this wedding and be on the look out for a recap from fun filled weekend. (OH! And, I am so excited – I will be attending the Amy and Jordan workshop starting today so stay tuned for a blog post on that!)
I was so lucky to spend a 2nd weekend with one of my favorite local photographers that I get to work with this wedding season. Ashley of V.A. Photography asked me to work with her again. This time, we made the trek from Richmond up to Fredericksburg. We made it to downtown Fredericksburg where we stopped for a quick bite to eat. (Let me tell you – there is SO MUCH personality in the downtown area! It’s lovely!) After we wrapped up lunch, we headed on over to the Olde Silk Mill. It’s a lovely venue with so much character!
The ceremony went off without a hitch….but just as we were getting ready to take pictures after the ceremony, the clouds opened and the rain fell. It was quite the rain storm. Fortunately, Chrissy and Steven let the rain dampen their celebration and Ashley handled it like the awesome pro that she is! AND! My favorite part of this wedding – sweet Romeo! Their adorable sweet puppy served as a ring bearer!
Thanks again for letting me work with you, Ashley! Such a fun time as always!
