They (whoever they is) say that the third time is a charm. Well, they sure are right. I got to spend another day working with Amber Kay Photography. This was a looooooooooong day for me. I met her a little after noon and hopped in the car for a 2 hour ride up to Maryland. From there, we spent 7 hours shooting a wedding. I finally made it home about 215 AM. Holy smokes that was a long day.
Enough of that! This wedding was amazingly awesome! It was a Jewish wedding which I have never attended let alone shot. From a personal standpoint, I’ve been very fortunate to attend a variety of weddings – Catholic, Baptist, Justice of the Peace, Christian. All these weddings are unique in their own way with their traditions. Having seen all of these (both personally and professionally), I will tell you that Jewish weddings are quite possibly my favorite of all! The energy, the excitement, the ceremony of the signing of the ketubah (marriage contract) and the badeken (veiling of the bride), the bride encircling the groom, the huppah (wedding canopy), and the breaking of the glass.
Holy smokes, this was one awesome wedding! I am so happy I got to second shoot for Amber at this wedding! Here are a few of my favorite images from that day!
