I recently took a step in working towards making my dream a reality. I spent a Saturday afternoon with a small group of women learning the ins and outs of my DSLR. And I loved it. I learned how to go from shooting in automatic (which I did all the time!) to shooting in manual all the time. It was the best investment I could have made in my journey thus far.
With my new found knowledge, I set out looking for things to photograph to try out these new tricks and tips I had learned.
Sunday Park is a local’s favorite here in the Richmond, VA area. It is set on Swift Creek Reservoir and features many amenities, including a boat launch and restaurant. These images were captured at sunset just a few days after my introductory photography class.
We are fortunate enough to have family that lives in Virginia Beach. We are also fortunate that we are able to make day and weekend trips down to visit when we have the time. While we enjoy living in Chesterfield, we certainly do enjoy our trips home and love catching up on the ever changing scenery. The good news is that view from the boardwalk has not changed and the sunrise we saw was still incredible.
The Mulheim Family
Stephanie and I met in 2011 when I first relocated to the area. We found each other through a team challenge at the Gold’s Gym by us. We became fast friends and as they say, the rest is history! I was able to schedule time with the Muhlheim family to capture the kids just before their birthdays and also get Stephanie some update family portraits. We sure had a blast and I’m pretty sure the kids enjoyed themselves even more than us! Thanks for being such great sports Stephanie, Matt, Angelena, and Chase!
